How to Use Your ROOT!T Thermostat For Heat Mats

Place an appropriately sized heat mat beneath your propagator. Connect the Root!t Thermostat to a power source and plug your heat mat into the attached socket of the thermostat.

Ensure that the thermostat is positioned outside the propagator and kept away from moisture; it should never be immersed in water. Position the probe within the propagator at the same level as your plants. If there’s an extra rooting plug in a tray of cuttings, you can insert the probe into the plug and set it in the tray.

Next, set the temperature for your propagator by pressing and holding the’set’ button for 3 seconds, and then use the ‘up’ and ‘down’ buttons to select your preferred temperature.

If you want to switch between Fahrenheit and Celsius, press and hold either the ‘up’ or ‘down’ button. Holding ‘up’ will change to Celsius, and holding ‘down’ will change to Fahrenheit; an LED light on the screen will illuminate to differentiate between the two.

The power LED light will turn on whenever the heat mat is active. This light will turn off once the temperatures recorded by the probe match your selected setting, indicating that the thermostat has powered down the heat mat.
